RALLY TIME in the Great Smoky Mountains. LTaR Eastern Rendezvous ........ FALL 2023
TICKET TO RIDE!
October 5th through the 8th
You can come in on the 4th from 12pm on to set up for the weekend.
Here we go!
Lets unpack this!
We at Lets Take a Ride believe in the RIDE!
Our rallies focus on riding!
The theme for all three days is the same each day:
Wake up, safety brief, eat breakfast and take a ride!
At 5PM there is a bike game for about an hour then dinner is served. The Vendors will be onstage in the Barn giving presentations, premiering movies and gifting their SWAG! Later that evening, everyone is free to gather around the Fire Pit or wander back to camp for a relaxing evening. Adult beverages are available in the Barn. This is an outdoor excursion experience, so there will be no live bands.
Quiet time is at 10PM. No generators after this time so tent campers can get a good nights sleep and ride hard tomorrow! At the close of the Rally we will call everyone in for the final send off! Lets Have Some FUN!

Day One Covers:
Proper bike set-up. “Bulletproofing” your bike for off pavement riding. Review and reinforcement of appropriate riding positions. Balancing, slow speed control, turns & maneuvers. Emergency braking. Throttle & brake turns.
Obstacle work examples:
Safe water crossings. Dealing with ruts. Tackling downed limbs or rocks. Carry higher speed more safely on gravel. Hillside work (traversing, failed hill climb recovery, etc.).
Day Two Covers:
Leveraging skills learned on Day One applying those skills in a group ride through local forests. We will be reinforcing long-term riding applications of those skills using real world diversity of terrains in a group lead ride by your coach's for the day.
